McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a CDL A Trainee. Get paid to train and earn $80,000–$90,000 after training. The program provides paid training, hands-on coaching, and day-one benefits as part of our national distribution team.

As a CDL-A Driver Trainee you’ll learn all aspects of the role with Driver Trainers, perform safe vehicle operations, vehicle inspections, and customer deliveries, with opportunities for career advancement within McLane.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Meet eligibility requirements in the McLane Transfer and Promotion Policy.
• Ability and willingness to select/load/unload and/or deliver ALL products that may be ordered by McLane customers.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Perform mathematical calculations to verify quantities of product.
• Communicate with customers, management, and other teammates.
• Safely drive a tractor-trailer, use a 2-wheeled dolly, ramp, and on board PeopleNet devices.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.

Mansioni

• Learn every aspect of the role alongside Driver Trainers.
• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Operate Driver Delivery Handheld, document receipts and temps, inspect trailer for security.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to destinations to learn driving regulations and skills.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Assist the Driver in unloading and delivering product to customer premises.
• Provide customer service including on-time delivery and handling credits.
• Other duties as assigned.
