Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to achieve effective patient outcomes in a compassionate setting.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, procedures assistance, care plan development, emergency response, patient education, and strict infection control. Ongoing audits and professional development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN licensure in state or compact state licensure required
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process and organizational policies
• Document thorough patient assessments and report changes to care team
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control and monitor patient safety
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies
