Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU. This role focuses on assessing patient status throughout the episode of care and developing individualized perianesthesia plans. You will provide accurate hand-off reports to teammates and perform additional duties as assigned.

The position requires an accredited nursing degree, current RN licensure in good standing, and BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS as applicable. PACU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of PACU experience preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing.
• Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
• Completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• PALS certification is required when pediatric care is included within the facility scope within 90 days or documentation of current PALS certification.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing or Perianesthesia is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status throughout the episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care by implementing.
• Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise and pertinent to the patient's condition and response to care.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
