Job summary

SCA Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU to monitor patients through the perianesthesia episode and coordinate care. You will assess patient status, develop an individualized plan, and provide accurate hand-off reports to teammates while performing other duties as assigned.

Current NJ RN licensure and BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required or obtained within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and licensed to practice in good standing.
• 1 year PACU experience preferred.
• Current state nursing license in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days.
• ACLS certification within 90 days.
• PALS certification within 90 days if pediatric care included.
• Perioperative or Perianesthesia certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status throughout the episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care by implementing.
• Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise and pertinent to the patient’s condition and response to care.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
