Job summary

United Surgical Partners International in Frisco, TX is seeking a PACU RN to plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for pre-op patients, ensuring safety and compliance with standards. You will care for patients across ages in perioperative setting and manage pain and medication delivery.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, rapid response to emergencies, developing care plans, patient/family education, documentation, and using MediTech for orders and discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• At least 3 years experience as an RN.
• RN license current in the State of Texas.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care within RN scope and hospital policies.
• Assesses psychosocial, educational and physical needs across age groups.
• Responds quickly to emergencies.
• Develops and prioritizes plan of care to achieve goals.
• Identifies educational needs and documents patient/family education.
• Manages pain for postoperative or clinical patients.
• Delivers medications safely based on assessment.
• Responds to hospital presentations with triage and follow-up.
• Follows all documentation policies and uses MediTech for orders and discharge.
