Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is seeking an experienced Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Registered Nurse to provide peri-operative patient care in the PACU. The role supports the PACU Manager and Nursing leadership, following nursing processes and regulatory standards.

The nurse assesses patients on arrival, plans and delivers immediate postoperative care, documents progress, and educates patients and caregivers about discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with current RN licensure
• Minimum of two years experience in ICU/ER/Recovery or other critical care setting
• Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards applicable to healthcare
• CPR/ACLS/PALS certification within 60 days of employment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
• Willingness to participate in professional development and adhere to nursing standards

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient status upon arrival in PACU.
• Provide care for peri-operative patients based on anesthesia and surgical status.
• Develop and update a postoperative plan of care.
• Monitor patients and inform physicians/anaesthesiologists of changes.
• Provide discharge instructions and postoperative guidance.
• Support service recovery and maintain patient comfort and privacy.
