Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is seeking a skilled RN for the PACU to provide high-quality nursing care in the immediate post-anesthesia period. The role involves assessing patients, communicating with surgeons and anesthesia providers, and ensuring documentation is complete in the PACU.

Responsibilities include supervising support staff, developing care plans, monitoring patient status, and delivering comfort and discharge instructions while maintaining patient privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

• RN with active license in appropriate state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1 year experience in PACU or ICU.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes time, equipment, and supplies effectively.
• Assesses and documents patient status in PACU.
• Provides nursing care based on anesthesia and surgical condition.
• Develops a care plan from assessment data.
• Monitors patient status and reports changes to surgeon/anesthesia.
