Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand in Fairhope, AL seeks a Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Registered Nurse to provide peri-operative patient care under PACU leadership, adhering to nursing standards and regulatory guidelines. The role covers direct and indirect care across the age continuum, applying the nursing process within facility policies.

You will assess patients on arrival, monitor status, plan and implement care, inform clinicians of changes, provide discharge instructions, and call patients

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of professional nursing with current and valid licensure.
• Minimum of two years of experience in ICU/ER/Recovery or other critical care nursing.
• Ability to obtain CPR, ACLS, and PALS within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient status upon arrival in the PACU.
• Provide peri-operative nursing care for surgical patients post-anesthesia.
• Develop and adjust plan of care based on assessment data.
• Monitor patients and inform surgeon/anesthesia of changes or complications promptly.
• Provide discharge instructions and assist caregiver with supplies.
• Call patients postoperatively to assess recovery.
• Ensure quality care through NSH benchmarking participation.
