Job summary

Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI, part of Prime Healthcare, is actively seeking a PACU RN on a per diem basis for day shifts. The role focuses on delivering high-level postoperative care and coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and comfort.

The nurse will participate in performance improvement activities, maintain standards of care, and support a collaborative surgical services team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintain.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• PALS (AHA) certificate preferred.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in PACU using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate postoperative care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct and guide other personnel while maintaining PACU standards.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and care teams.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
