Job summary

Landmark Medical Center, Inc. in Woonsocket, RI is seeking a PACU RN for a per diem, days shift. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive post-operative nursing care, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and maintain high standards of patient safety and unit performance.

Active state RN license, BLS, and ACLS are required; PALS preferred. Experience in critical care or PACU is preferred; CCRN and BSN are desirable.

Qualifications

• RI RN license required or eligible for licensure in RI.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certificate preferred.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience, or at least one year on-the-job training.
• CCRN preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process in the PACU.
• Coordinate post-operative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
• Direct and guide other personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate patient condition changes to physicians.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
