Job summary

UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to oversee post-operative care, manage airway, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond to complications. On-call availability for select non-business hours will be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities include wound care, collaboration with surgical and anesthesia teams, nursing process delivery, and thorough documentation of patient condition and care. On-site role with hospital staffing support.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Florida RN license or approved multistate license required.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days.
• ACLS and PALS Provider cards required within 6 months.
• 1 year PACU experience required; call may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in PACU using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Monitor and document patient status and changes during recovery.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and follow-up measures.
