Job summary

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (PRN) to provide immediate post-operative care and support to the surgical team. You will monitor patients, manage airway and neuro/cardiac status, and participate in education for patients and families.

The role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours; opportunities to collaborate with nursing leadership and an RN float pool for staffing support. Growth and supportive leadership are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team.
• Independently deliver safe nursing care using the nursing process and leadership.
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and follow-up care.
