Job summary

Wesley Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (PRN) to provide immediate post-operative care. You will monitor neurological and cardiac status, manage airway support, and perform wound care while collaborating with the surgical and anesthesia teams. On-call availability may be required during select non-business hours.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, and a supportive leadership culture with staffing resources to back you up.

Qualifications

• RN diploma required
• ACLS within 90 days of start date
• BLS/Basic Life Support within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in post-anesthesia recovery
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Independently apply the nursing process and clinical judgment
• Assess and document patient condition throughout the shift
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and follow-up
