Job summary

Research Medical Center in Lenexa, KS, is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care, manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond to complications. You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams and participate in on-call coverage as discussed in the interview.

You will also educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures while contributing to evidence-based practice and patient safety

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• RN license in good standing.
• Registered Nurse credential and diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered post-anesthesia care in PACU.
• Monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status, and respond to complications.
• Perform initial wound care and ensure patient stability during recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for safe patient care.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
