Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking an experienced RN for a peri-anesthesia role based at the BJWCH Ballas Surgery Center, caring for ambulatory surgery patients undergoing otolaryngology and ophthalmology procedures.

The position emphasizes training in pre- and post-operative patient care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to nursing standards, with a focus on patient safety and quality care delivery.

Qualifications

Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree, RN license, BLS, ACLS or PALS certifications.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience.
Experience in ICU, ED, or critical care preferred; PACU experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered care, including education on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care.
Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural backgrounds.
Contribute to a safe environment, maintaining constant alertness as this is a safety-sensitive position.
