Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking a peri-anesthesia RN to join the surgery center team. The role focuses on pre and post care, with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning and patient education in a supported environment.

The position requires RN licensure with PACU or critical care experience preferred, and BLS/ACLS or PALS certifications. Work is full-time, with a set 4-day schedule and no weekend or holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• PACU/ peri-anesthesia experience preferred.
• Experience in ICU/ED/critical care settings is beneficial.
• BLS, ACLS or PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in peri-anesthesia with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge needs.
• Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
