Job summary

United Surgical Partners International seeks a PACU nurse to join our ambulatory surgery facility in Lenox, MA. Under the supervision of the PACU manager, you will carry out physician orders, monitor patient recovery, and ensure safety, comfort and privacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU.
• Telemetry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Continuously evaluate patients' condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family preparation for discharge.
