LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking an experienced RN for a peri-anesthesia role based at the BJWCH Ballas Surgery Center, caring for ambulatory surgery patients undergoing otolaryngology and ophthalmology procedures.

The position emphasizes training in pre- and post-operative patient care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to nursing standards, with a focus on patient safety and quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree, RN license, BLS, ACLS or PALS certifications.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in ICU, ED, or critical care preferred; PACU experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care, including education on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural backgrounds.
• Contribute to a safe environment, maintaining constant alertness as this is a safety-sensitive position.
