Job summary

Research Medical Center seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to manage immediate post-operative care, including airway support, and close monitoring of neurological and cardiac status. You will collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure patient stability and educate families about care and follow-up.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, on-call availability, and participation in a supportive, collaborative team environment within a busy surgical unit.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS/Basic Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license and applicable certification requirements.
• No travel required; patient-focused care and safety evidence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU.
• Monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status; respond to changes.
• Provide initial wound care and ensure patient stability on recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams during recovery.
• Participate in on-call scheduling as discussed in the interview.
