Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL. This full-time position requires PACU or Critical Care experience and a current IL RN license.

Shifts are 4- to 10-hour flex schedules starting at 0700–1100, totaling 40 hours per week, with call obligations. You will deliver patient-centered care using evidence-based practice, coordinate care across the continuum, and participate in safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have PACU or Critical Care experience.
• Current IL RN license.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with BSN enrollment within four years.
• AHA CPR certification.
• Ability to work 4- to 10-hour flex shifts and call requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and assist with patient handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate patient-centered care in PACU.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure safe transitions.
• Respond to patient needs promptly and follow standards.
• Support evacuation and disaster readiness as needed.
