Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Community Medical Center in New Jersey. The role offers an evening shift with an hourly pay range of $48.29–$67.04.

Responsibilities include post-operative patient assessments, safe medication administration, and coordinating care with physicians using EPIC EMR. Qualifications include an active NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and ideally a Bachelor's degree with 1 year of perioperative or critical

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; at least 1 year of perioperative or critical care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EPIC) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene early and advocate for patients.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in clinical judgment.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers to support timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed and prepared for the next phase of care.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds to drive seamless communication and smoother transitions of care.
• Take an active role in a collaborative team environment with shared accountability and outcomes.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education and clinical ladder opportunities.
