Job summary

Northern Monmouth Regional Surgery Center is seeking a per diem PACU Registered Nurse in New Jersey. The PACU RN provides continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy throughout recovery.

Requirements include an accredited RN degree, NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years PACU/ICU experience preferred. Per diem role with benefits eligibility and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgement; prioritize workload.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Continual evaluation of the patient's condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
