Job summary

The Trinity Health Ann Arbor department seeks a dedicated RN for the Main OR PreOp/PACU on a 12-hour evening shift. The 38-bay unit supports a Level 1 Trauma Center with 20 operating rooms, delivering high-quality preoperative and postoperative care to diverse surgical patients.

Required BSN within five years, Michigan RN license, and BLS. Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and patient-centered care are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited nursing program with BSN preferred within five years.
• Current Michigan Nursing License and BLS required.
• Experience in pre-op or PACU settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• View patients holistically and assess physical, psychosocial and age-specific needs.
• Demonstrate critical thinking by analyzing patient information and responding appropriately.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans with evidence-based interventions.
• Educate patients and families; use teach-back to ensure understanding and readiness for discharge.
• Create a positive environment and communicate status and plans clearly to the team.
• Maintain rapport and collaborate to resolve conflicts and improve patient care.
