Job summary

Connecticut Orthopaedics Specialists is seeking a part-time Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN for our Branford, CT surgery center. The Staff Nurse will assess and plan care, delivering safe, individualized nursing to patients 12+ and their families in the center.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active CT RN licensure, and 1 year PACU/ER/ICU experience. BLS/ACLS/PALS within 90 days of hire. Competitive benefits and paid holidays offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in PACU, ER, or ICU settings.
• Current state licensure to practice.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status on admission and ongoing.
• Provide nursing care to PACU patients across the shift.
• Coordinate interventions to meet expected outcomes and discharge readiness.
• Document progress and revise care plans as status changes.
• Direct others in implementing teaching plans and care.
