Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. in partnership with Presbyterian Rust Medical Center ASC seeks a motivated RN Pre-Op/PACU to join our fast-paced ambulatory surgery center on a PRN basis. The RN provides quality perioperative nursing care using the nursing process and plan of care for diverse patient populations.

The role requires an active RN license, 1–3 years’ experience in PreOP/PACU, and current BLS/ALS/PALS certifications, with strong teamwork and aseptic technique knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1–3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

• The RN Pre-op/PACU provides quality patient care using the nursing process and plan of care.
• Provides safe, effective, and family-centered perioperative care across patient populations.
• Reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services and supports department goals.
