Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pre/Post Surgical PACU at the New Brunswick facility. The role is a full-time, day shift position with an hourly pay range reflecting New Jersey market rates.

The RN will assess patients, administer evidence-based care, document in EPIC EMR, and participate in rounds with a collaborative team. BLS/ACLS and a NJ license are required or in progress, with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Minimum 3 years PACU/CCU or surgical RN experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred or must be completed within 5 years.
National Board Certification and ACLS preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
Experience with EPIC EMR systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers.
Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.
Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and teamwork.
Pursue continued professional growth through education and career progression.
Collaborate within a highly cooperative team to drive outcomes.
