RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Jersey City Medical Center. This full-time night position requires NJ RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, plus Basic Dysrhythmia training, with a BSN or active enrollment.

Expect PACU/ICU experience and EMR proficiency (EPIC). The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and lifelong learning within a supportive, safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS required; Basic Dysrhythmia course completed.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required or BSN in progress with expected completion date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely coordinated care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and promote smooth transitions of care.
