Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Surgery Center Post-Anesthesia Care Unit at Monmouth Medical Center in Tinton Falls, NJ. This full-time, day-shift position requires active NJ RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 1 year of PACU or related acute care experience.
The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and documentation in EPIC EMR. The RN will assess patients, administer medications, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
- Current BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications
- Minimum 1 year PACU/CCU/Acute Care experience
- BSN preferred
- Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for changes; intervene promptly when needed
- Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care
- Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families for next steps post-visit
- Document meticulously in the EMR to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in rounds and contribute to team communication and transitions
