Job summary

Mercy St. Louis is seeking a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse to join our Phase I recovery unit. You will care for post‑operative patients, collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams, and participate in weekend/holiday call as needed.

Strong critical care skills and an active RN license are essential. Ideal candidates bring PACU/ICU or critical care experience and are comfortable managing ventilators, airway devices, and hemodynamic support.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited RN program and hold an active RN license.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Experience in PACU/ICU/ED or critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for post-operative patients in PACU, monitoring vitals and recovery progress.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical teams and ICU colleagues to ensure safe patient handoffs.
• Respond to emergent situations and manage alarms, drains and lines as trained.
