Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital Ballas Surgery Center is seeking a full-time RN for the peri-anesthesia team. The role is four days per week, 09:30–19:00, with no call, weekends, or holidays.

You will provide direct patient care in the peri-anesthesia department, participate in safety and regulatory activities, and collaborate with the interprofessional team to plan and evaluate care.

Qualifications

• PACU experience is preferred and valued.
• RN with ICU/ED or critical care experience is required.
• BLS, ACLS or PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing care.
• Promotes patient and family centered care and educates on post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in safety, quality and regulatory activities and professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
