Incredible Health in Silver Spring, MD is hiring a PACU RN to provide post-operative care across diverse surgical cases. Night and mid shifts are available, with both full-time and part-time opportunities. You will monitor vitals, manage anesthesia symptoms, and collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe patient transitions.

Required ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 1 year PACU/ICU experience. Strong teamwork, excellent communication, and EMR proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Typically 1 year of PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications per American Heart Association.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Proficient with electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and follow treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists for patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and wound management.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per hospital policy.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $61,340 to $100,470 /year
