RN PreOp PACU

Part Time PreOp PACU RN at Surgical Specialty Center of Mid-Atlantic, a Medicare Certified Ambulatory Surgical Center located in Bethesda, MD. The role provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and using sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Pay rate: Min: $45.00 to Max: $57.00/hr. (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
