Job summary

Incredible Health in Grand Blanc, MI is actively hiring a PACU RN to provide post-operative care for surgical patients, with experience in Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, presurgical assessment, robotic surgery, transplant, or wound & drain care encouraged.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing.
• Active, unencumbered RN license.
• 1 year PACU/ICU experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients and monitor vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and teams for smooth transitions from OR to PACU to discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care including pain and wound management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
