Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU RN in Phoenix, AZ, to deliver immediate post-operative care for diverse surgical patients. You will monitor vitals, administer medications, and coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure smooth transitions from OR to PACU and discharge home.

The ideal candidate brings ADN or higher, an active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and strong teamwork and EMR proficiency. Roles include day, night, and mid shifts with full-time, part-time, and per diem options.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing required.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• 1 year PACU/ICU high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor vitals.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for smooth patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, including pain and wound management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
