Job summary

United Surgical Partners International seeks a Full-Time PACU RN at Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role involves assessing post-operative patients, monitoring vital signs, documenting findings, and acting during emergencies to ensure safe perioperative care in a multispecialty ambulatory setting.

Candidates should be a licensed RN with 1–3 years of PACU experience, preferably from an ambulatory surgical center, and hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • At least 1–3 years' PACU experience; ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ post-operative condition.
  • Monitor vital signs and progress to meet discharge criteria.
  • Log and chart findings in patient files.
  • Monitor for condition changes and report to physician.
  • Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies.

FT PACU RN

Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center delivers high-quality, service-focused surgical care in a patient-centered environment where 'healthcare is better together.' This physician-owned facility, accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, features 4 ORs and 4 treatment rooms supporting multispecialty procedures including Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Urology, ENT, Pain Management, Orthopedics, and Vascular.

Prince William ASC is seeking an experienced Full-Time PACU RN to join our team. Prince William ASC is a fast paced, multi-specialty surgery center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

  • Assess patients’ post-operative condition
  • Monitor vital signs and other measurements of progress, meeting discharge criteria
  • Log and chart all findings in patient files
  • Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes to physician
  • Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies

Job Summary:

The PACU RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. ThePACU RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. ThePACU RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. ThePACU RN reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.

Required Skills:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PACU experience
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
