Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is hiring a RN PACU Part Time at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center ASC in New Mexico. The PACU nurse under the Pre-Op/PACU manager provides total comprehensive patient care for patients emerging from anesthesia, with focus on safety, comfort, and privacy.

The role supports physicians in procedure rooms during conscious sedation when appropriate. Qualifications include RN licensure in the state, 2+ years PACU/ICU experience, BLS and ALS certifications, and

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU or ICU.
  • Must have current BLS, ALS.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as deemed appropriate.

Presbyterian RustMedical Center ASC is hiring a RN PACU Part Time.

Presbyterian Rust Medical Center is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Job Summary:Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate.

Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: General Surgery, Dental, Gynecology, Breast Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Pain Management.
