Job summary

Incredible Health is recruiting a PACU RN in Brockton, MA to provide immediate post-operative care for diverse surgical patients, monitor vitals, manage anesthesia effects, and administer prescribed medications.

You will collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure smooth OR-to-PACU transitions and discharge home; requires ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 1 year PACU/ICU experience; day and mid shifts; full-time, part-time, or per diem.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association.
• Strong teamwork and communication; EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care, monitor vitals, and manage anesthesia-related symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications and follow treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists for seamless OR-to-PACU transition and discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and wound care; document accurately.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $61,470 to $161,290 /year
