Job summary

St. David's Round Rock Medical Center seeks a PACU Registered Nurse for PRN coverage. You will provide immediate post-operative care, monitor neurologic and cardiac status, manage airway support, and perform initial wound care while coordinating with the surgical and anesthesia teams.

Expect on-call availability during select non-business hours; schedule includes Friday night shifts with weekend on-call. Strong collaboration and leadership are valued in this supportive environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN - Registered Nurse licensure.
• Associate Degree in nursing or related field.
• 1 year of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to support recovery.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership.
• Assess patient status, document changes, and adjust care as needed.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
