Job summary

Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to support the immediate post-operative care of surgical patients in our Austin, Texas location. The role emphasizes airway management, neuro/cardiac monitoring, wound care, and collaboration with the surgical and anesthesia teams.

You will participate in on-call coverage during select non-business hours and contribute to patient safety and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-acuity cardiovascular environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required within specified timeframes.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Educational pathways include ADN/BSN/RN Diploma/ MSN per posting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care in PACU.
• Monitor airway, neuro and cardiac status; respond to complications.
• Provide initial wound care and ensure stability during recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Participate in on-call coverage as needed.
