Sierra View Medical Center in Porterville, CA, is seeking an RN for PACU/Flexcare/Recovery on a PER DIEM basis. The role features variable 8-hour shifts, on-site work, and weekend call requirements.

You will provide holistic nursing care across age groups, applying the Nursing Process and collaborating with the Unit Director, Clinical Manager and Charge Nurse. You must hold California RN licensure with BLS, and ACLS/PALS within six months.

Formación

• Current California RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS within six months of assignment.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, treat and provide age-appropriate patient care.
• Use holistic assessment to identify patient needs.
• Identify nursing diagnoses and care standards to guide care.
• Ensure Care Plan is specific to the patient.
• Safely administer medications and troubleshoot equipment.
• Align care with Nursing and Medical Plans and patient age needs.
• Evaluate Plan of Care and communicate recommendations.
• Communicate patient status changes to medical team.
• Adhere to Joint Commission patient safety goals.
• Document according to hospital policies.
• Adhere to Nursing Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.
• Understand drugs used for multi-system problems.
• Complete unit-specific performance checklist.
• Demonstrate Infection Prevention skills and protocols.
• Report quality or risk management issues.
• Maintain knowledge of health care trends affecting nursing.
• Maintain documentation standards; avoid letters of education.
• Uphold Nursing Practice Act.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics.
• Be on site and arrive on time.
