Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse for a part-time day shift. The role involves direct patient care in the PACU, coordinating post-operative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and maintaining standards of care.

The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient recovery and adherence to policies. The position requires an active state RN license, BLS and ACLS on hire, with CC RN and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Prior Critical Care or PACU experience or at least 1 year on the job training.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PACU patients using the nursing process.
• Coordinate post-operative care with surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure quality patient care and efficient unit operation.
• Adhere to hospital policies, participate in Performance Improvement activities.
