Job summary

Southpoint Surgery Center (SPSC), an affiliate of North Carolina Specialty Hospital, seeks a PACU nurse to deliver comprehensive, age-spanning care in a new ambulatory setting between Raleigh and Durham.

You will apply the nursing process, supervise staff when needed, and ensure accurate documentation while participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. A NC RN license and BLS are required, with ACLS/PALS within 6 months preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; RN license in NC required.
• Current licensure in NC or compact multi-state license required.
• BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS/PALS within 6 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients across age groups from pediatric to geriatric.
• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Supervise and guide other team members; assist manager as needed.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Engage in performance improvement activities to maintain quality care.
• Complete additional duties as needed and assigned.
