Job summary

Vail Health in Colorado seeks a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, individualized nursing care for patients and families. You will collaborate with providers, staff, and teams to achieve optimal outcomes and oversee daily patient flow to ensure safety and satisfaction.

Requires one year of clinical experience, Colorado or compact-state RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Strong computer skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• One-year clinical experience required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily patient flow to optimize care, safety and satisfaction.
• Triages incoming patient requests for services.
• Delivers patient education to facilitate plan of care and informed choices.
• Delegates care appropriately per Colorado statute.
• Performs accurate assessments and prioritizes needs.
• Handles high telephone volume for medications, information and assistance.
• Administers medications and assists in procedures with patient safety in mind.
• Coordinates patient care with other practices and Vail Health.
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Advocates for safety and patient preferences through Relationship-Based Care.
• Demonstrates a Just Culture and organizational values.
