Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced RN to lead the PACU team at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time role oversees clinical operations, staffing, and patient care in the postoperative unit.

You will collaborate with the Manager and Director to ensure age-appropriate care, mentor staff, and optimize workflow in a fast-paced environment. RN license in NC, PACU experience, and BCLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with one year PACU experience.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in critical care or PACU setting.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with the Manager, Director Nurse Anesthesia & PACU regarding departmental goals and standards of care.
• Directs and evaluates the activities of the clinical PACU staff.
• Promotes and facilitates the professional growth of staff members.
• Coordinates, facilitates, and mediates daily workflow utilizing management principles.
• Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient care for the served age groups.
