Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on a full-time, second-shift basis. The role handles high-acuity patients across outpatient and inpatient PACUs with Epic documentation and scrubs provided.

You will participate in governance, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates hold an RN license in NC, a BSN preferred, BLS, and at least one year of clinical nursing experience in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintained credentials.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based practice improvements.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and coordinate with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and effective communication within the team.
• Ensure timely documentation in the EHR and maintain accurate records.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols and department guidelines.
