Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - PACU is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time PACU leadership role. Schedule: 6:30am–5pm, 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $44.15–$66.25 per hour.

Requirements include RN licensure in the appropriate state, BSN preferred, and extensive PACU/critical care experience; one year of supervisory experience is preferred; certification in specialty required within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with one year PACU experience.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in critical care or PACU setting.
• One year previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with the Manager, Director Nurse Anesthesia & PACU regarding departmental philosophy, goals, support needs and standards of care to ensure the highest quality of age appropriate patient care is provided.
• Directs and evaluates the activities of the clinical PACU staff.
• Promotes and facilitates the professional growth of staff members.
• Coordinates, facilitates, and mediates daily workflow utilizing management principles and strategies.
• Ensures that age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided for the age groups served.
