Job summary

Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center in Leesburg, VA is seeking an experienced Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our day shift, full-time team. You will care for surgical patients recovering from anesthesia and support their vital sign monitoring.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year PACU/CCU experience in ambulatory surgery or acute care, PreOp/PostOp ASC experience, Virginia RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS if possible. Join our friendly outpatient facility on the Inova Loudoun campus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year PACU/Critical Care nursing in ambulatory surgery or acute care.
• PreOp and PostOp ASC experience strongly desired.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Virginia Registered Nurse license current.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS or PALS certification preferred within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Care for surgical patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Monitor and chart vital signs (HR, RR, BP, SpO2).
• Comfort patients as they wake; assist with restraints if needed.
• Check surgical site for excessive bleeding or swelling.
• Educate patients on wound care and post-discharge care.
• Cross-train to PreOp area to meet unit needs.
