Job summary

City of Hope Orange County is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the Pre- and Post-Operative unit in Irvine. This full-time role features 12-hour shifts (3 shifts/week) with day-shift designation and a focus on preparing patients for surgery and supporting recovery after anesthesia and procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a California RN license with 3+ years of PACU or critical care experience, and possess BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• Current California RN license is required.
• BLS CPR and ACLS certifications through American Heart Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative assessments, education, and readiness coordination.
• Monitor patients in PACU and manage pain and recovery transitions.
• Document care in electronic health records accurately.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for safe patient pathways.
• Offer discharge education tailored to oncology surgical patients.
