Job summary

United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) seeks a Preop/PACU RN in Annapolis, MD to provide perioperative nursing care, coordinate with the surgical team, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities include patient preparation, monitoring, documentation, aseptic technique, safety, and participation in quality programs and policy adherence.

Requirements: nursing degree, RN license, CPR (ACLS if required), and at least three years of perioperative experience; strong collaboration

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nursing program.
• Three years clinical peri-operative experience with sterile technique.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for ambulatory centers (AAAHC, Joint Commission).
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and staff.
• Current RN license and CPR; ACLS as required by center policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient preparation, including history, consent, vitals, IV, meds, and monitoring.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and monitor patients throughout care.
• Document care and maintain patient safety and environment.
• Communicate with surgical team and provide discharge instructions.
• Participate in QAPI and safety programs.
