Job summary

UAB Medicine's Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Birmingham seeks a Patient Care Technician to assist in caring for post-surgical patients. The role involves obtaining and recording vitals, weights, and inputs/outputs, and completing a dedicated PCT training program under RN/LPN supervision.

Responsibilities

• To obtain and record vitals, weight, inputs and outputs.
• To demonstrate an awareness of patient and personal safety.
• To successfully complete an in-house PCT training program.
• To assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN/LPN.
